First entry!

Now let me be bold and brash. I think this is going to be a special year for the Green Bay Packers. Well every year is a special year, at least in terms of uniqueness, but this year in particular I expect we (Packer Nation) will rock the world.

Why do I think this, well the last time I had this sort of feeling about a Packer team, we won the super-bowl. I have no particular powers for prediction, so I won't be so brash as to predict a SB win, but it wouldn't surprise me if it were to happen. Also I expect we will see some sort of health reform out of Washington, but no prediction on the public option right now. Expect this sort of hysteresis from this blog.

Anyhow a note on who the Clancy Kid is. He is my nome de plum, hopefully that is pen-name in french, and not "nomination of lead". I reside in Clancy Montana, just a stones throw south of Helena (strong arm - about 10 miles as the eagle flies). I'm an old kid at 58, but a kid at heart none-the-less. And that's about all there is to that.

Anyhow, I supose someone might ask why I feel so up about this Packer team which is coming off a 6-10 year and working thru a new defense. Well mostly I think this team has one of the most explosive offenses in football, and with particular changes this year to make it more productive (red zone efficiency wise). And I expect this 3-4 defense to be much more successful than anticipated - assuming they can sufficiently manage pass coverage, and I expect they will. Plus it is just a good year for America's real team to get it all together.

Well, that's installment 1 of this blog. Hopefully we'll get a few in each week. In the meantime be well, and eat rosted soy beans with your yogurt.
